10 life-changing makeup tips every
Girl should know

If you are like me and many other people, your first memories of makeup were negative. As a child, I watched my mother struggle with dark circles under her eyes and not knowing ( that makeup tip ) how to use concealer — she always ended up looking like a raccoon by the end of the day.

Makeup Tips

Makeup was also blamed for acne breakouts on my face. These days, skincare is more important than ever before; however, having clean skin does not mean that anything can be plastered onto it without consequence. You need to balance your skin’s needs with what you feel comfortable wearing on a day-to-day basis.
The following 10 life-changing makeup tips will change everything:

1): Conceal Under Your Eyes

Concealer is one of the most powerful makeup tools out there. It is essential for hiding under-eye darkness and redness, but it can also be used to balance your entire complexion. If you have pink undertones, concealer will help cancel them out by reflecting a golden hue on your skin.

2): Do not forget to Prime!

Using a primer before applying foundation and powder is important, but very few people understand exactly why or how it works. Primers create a smooth surface for your skin so that the pigment in the foundation and powder sticks better — this ensures that everything remains hidden throughout the day.

3): Know Your Shades

Whether you are using cream or foundation (or even powder), make sure that you are choosing the right color. If you have a warm skin tone, then earth-based colors will look best on you. These include reds and oranges as well as some yellows and browns. Cool-toned people look better in blue undertones — most blues, purples, and silverfish shades fall into this category. People with neutral undertones can wear anything (including pastels), but generally warmer tones suit them better than cool ones.

4): Perfect you are Eyes

Makeup artists love pairing smoky eyes with nude lips because they balance each other perfectly! Using dark eye shadows around the rim of your eyes, helps make them pop; this is essential for creating an intense makeup look (which I like to call “Smokey-sexy”).

5): Wear Your Hair Up!

This is an easy way to draw attention away from your face and towards your beautiful hairstyle. If you have a round face, then this tip is especially important because it can counteract the effects of having short hair. Wearing your hair up will also elongate your neckline, which makes you look slimmer.

6): Cover Any Marks with Contouring

“Contouring” takes makeup application to another level by using color to create new facial features. If you choose certain shades of foundation or powder, they will highlight areas on your face that are already structured for beauty (i.e., cheekbones). It is even possible to construct jaws that are more prominent because the right color can make them appear to recede. This is big stuff!
It is important to remember that you should not overdo it when using contouring techniques; otherwise, your face might look unnatural (and even dirty). Instead of taking on too much foundation, try brushing a little bit onto the hollows of your cheeks and under your jawline for a more subtle effect. This will allow you to enhance areas without drawing attention away from other features in an unattractive way.

Makeup Tips

7): Curl Your Lashes before Applying Colored Mascara

The standard black mascara is not always best, because it does not do anything for enhancing the appearance of eyeshadow. This is why I recommend that makeup tip to finding a colored mascara that matches your eyes or eye shadow. For example, if you have blue eyes, then try using turquoise-colored mascara to emphasize them! If you are wearing pink or purple eye shadow, then find an appropriate colored mascara to go with it. Your makeup will look much more polished than before.

8): Fix Flawless Foundation and Powder with Finishing Spray

Once both foundation and powder are set on your face (i.e., after applying either product), spritz some finishing spray onto your complexion. This has the effect of sealing everything down so that nothing is smudged around throughout the day; it is also great for making makeup last longer because it prevents oil from seeping through it towards your skin.

9): Conceal Under Eyes to Make Them Pop

As we age, the delicate skin around our eyes becomes worn and wrinkled — this means that it can be hard to wear eye makeup without looking like a clown (or Mimi from The Drew Carey Show). If you want your eyeshadow to look less garish, then try using some under-eye concealer first; this helps make your features pop by neutralizing any discoloration around the rim of your eyes.

10): Stay Safe from UV Rays by Wearing Sunscreen during the Day

Finally, do not forget about sunscreen! – Makeup artists recommend applying a moisturizer with SPF protection every morning before going out into the sun because it helps prevent harmful UV rays from causing dark spots, wrinkles, and other types of skin damage. Incorporating these 10 tips into your daily routine will help you look attractive every second of the day!

Makeup Tips

The neutral undertone seems to give away whether a girl is cool-toned or warm-toned without even looking at her. People with a neutral skin tone can wear anything, but generally, brighter colors are better.
